10 Old Laptop PCs
We want to take website training to community centres in London and to support people to build and develop social, commercial and political organisations. We are a group of volunteers, students of community development, and have been running an e-literacy programme at Birkbeck College for 15 months. We now want to show that Residents’ Associations and Youth Groups can build enterprise clubs around these skills. The laptop only needs to be operational and to have a wireless receiver and a power cable. It would be helpful to have an operating system but not essential. In exchange we can teach you in about 3 hours how to build and to develop your own websites. If you are interested in the e-literacy programme as a service for your own organisation, or want to support us with a donation then contact Jed Keenan on 079 5096 3069 020-8533 0853 or j.keenan@bbk.ac.uk http://www.bsujoomlaclub.org/ - The E-Literacy Programme
